As the CEO & Founder of Global Engagement Consultant, Dr. Chanel F. DeGuzman combines her ten plus years of academic and corporate training experience to serve as your Chief Engagement Officer. She combines her extensive knowledge base and experience as a diversity, equity, and inclusion professional to determine objectives and customize content for schools and organizations that is meaningful and delivers agreed-upon outcomes.

Dr. DeGuzman’s primary focus is to create inclusive and inviting spaces where learners and employees increase their self-awareness and pursue expansion to their highest good.

Dr. DeGuzman is the founding director of the University of Michigan Alumni Career Center. She was the project director for the Sellers’ Lab on Racial Identity in the Department of Psychology and Director of Academic Diversity Initiatives for the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan.  Before, Dr. DeGuzman transitioned into full-time entrepreneurship, she was the Educational Director for Global Solutions, an educational management company. Currently, Dr. DeGuzman is the CEO of Global Engagement Consultants, a women’s empowerment and DEI consultancy in Royal Oak, Michigan.

She has coached women from all walks of life and counseled hundreds of students to realize all the good and greatness inside of them.  Her engaging presence and unique training style have inspired audiences to action, including women’s organizations, corporations, and academia. She often speaks and leads workshops and retreats on leadership, personal mastery, and loving life and living free.
