On September 6th, 2023, I had the distinct pleasure of watching talented designers from Kent State University School of Fashion and IFA Paris send their alluring designs down the runway, kicking off this season's NYFW. I saw a myriad of designs using sustainable materials, printmaking by hand, 3D sculpture, and some looks that were very transformative and otherworldly.

The visual mapping done by Terance Antonio and his team was excellent. It served as the backdrop for a dynamic event.

I had the pleasure of chatting with, Dr. Todd Diacon, the President of Kent State University briefly about the importance of these types of events and his commitment to given their students access to the global community. Also, a special thanks to the Director of NYC Fashion (Kent State University, School of Fashion), Ann Mariko Walter, and the entire team in NYC and the main campus for a great curated presentation and evening.

This collaboration shows how important it is to have this type of synergy with Kent State University School Of Fashion, IFA Paris, New York Film Academy, and the Garment District Alliance (GDA) focused on rebuilding the garment district and community. You definitely felt an intentional force throughout the evening.
