From the piano to pc, this artist knew the definition of passion..When he was 6 years old, Crayton Mortel found a piano in a dumpster, he carried it on his shoulders and he started to play the piano in several gospel and death metal bands. After his severe misanthropy diagnosis, he understood that the only way to play music alone was to play the computer. In 2013 he went again a garbage dump and luckily he found a brand new pc. Enjoy!.BWJ: You started in music at an early age, how did you get started?.CM: I started playing music pretty much like any other nerd would. During the first year of primary school, when I was about 5 or 6, my parents had me take piano lessons. Then, little by little, I took up other instruments and eventually I walked my first steps into the land of computer music and that was the beginning of the end. .BWJ: We really love your latest tracks "Blossoms" and "The Third Night." What was your inspiration for these great tracks?.CM: I came up with these two tracks at around the same time, and for both it was the vocal line that came first, and the rest followed shortly. It's entirely plausible that they both sound slightly vintage, as I was very much into old prog albums at the time, so I might have put some oldie-inspired stuff here and there..BWJ: We always ask our guests two important questions. The first is: "What does the word 'passion' mean for you in your life?".CM: The first word that comes to mind is "undefined". As odd as it may seem, I find my freedom in composing through getting rid of pre-established models..BWJ: Fantastic.
